In 1900
In 1895
founded the British firm of J.
Laming & Sons
Margarine and Kaasfabriek the river Maas WZ on the corner with
Thorbeckestraat.
The architect
was JP Stok Wzn., Who has over ten years later the station building on the
Hofplein for the electric railway to The Hague (ZHESM) would design.
In 1919, the
beautifully ornate building was sold to the company Hulstkamp & Zn.,
Rotterdam producer of renowned old gins and liqueurs.
The building
remained until 1979 as an office and industrial space in use by Hulstkamp.
It is still known
under the name "Hulstkamp" building.

In 2000
If you follow
the photo in August 2000 compared with the above carefully, you see that all
the details of the "Hulstkamp" building already occurred in 1900.
It makes you really
wonder why it is not just the "Laming" building has become known?
